Describe yourself in a single sentence?
– I’m a creative very curios nerd.
What kind of person do you want to be?
– Loving and well-organised.
What is the first thing you think about when you wake up?
– Coffee.
Describe your bedroom. What objects do you surround yourself with?
– As often as possible a fire, piles of books, a very low bed so that my dachshund can climb up and down, a hairy bench that always reminds me of rod Stewart hair, paintings in celling that I love starring at, some stuffed birds three paintings of the horizon and two works from Carsten Höller that he made from my daughter’s old pet collections of butterflies.
What are you working on right now?
– Always work on too many things stimulatingly – thinking that they will inspire each other. -often that's the case but found at the moment it's been a bit hectic... Working on finding focus to do a large Transdisciplinary exhibition for Nobel museum. Google a lot on how to do large light and sound installation in NY without being there in person. Various design projects for Acne Studios as conceptual director. On spare moments trying to do a sculptural project involving plaster, crystals and video.
For what purpose do you create?
– I create for a few reasons. It usually start with fragmentation of thought and feeling. For me, creating brings everything back together somehow.
In my own work everything begins with the basic raw materials for the work is deeply reflective and inspiring. Later on, bringing those materials together into a form, distilling and creating a context, working to something that feels cohesive.
What do you do when nobody looks?
– Dance.
Who do you look up to?
– David Bowie.
To what extent do you trust people?
– To a big extent and not at all.
What have you learned from your parents?
– Empathy, passion for hard work, a big sense a humor. A sense of the world is a remarkable place to discover and that it's endlessly fascinating to explore.
What are you teaching your children?
– I hope the same things but maybe a bit more focused on creating your own narrative.
What do you lie about?
– Lying.
What is your favorite book and why?
– Maybe "Torndyvel flyger I skymmningen" by Maria Gripe – was one of the first book in my early teens that really had a massive impact on me and felt magical in a way that always lingered.
What do you think about sports?
– I wish I was better at doing any kind of sports in general... I like pingpong and horses - that’s about it.
What’s you favorite dessert?
– Who doesn’t like a cherry on their cake?
Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
– I admire the ambition with this project.
